About the times on this site
Minyan times are entered by hand from the shul's weekly schedule. Zmanim, candle lighting and havdalah are calculated in your browser from the sun's position at 7269 Beverly Blvd., using standard astronomical methods and the customs this shul follows.
We publish them carefully, but a website is not a posek. Times can change at short notice, a calculation can differ from the luach you hold by a minute, and a printed flyer can be more current than this page. Before relying on a time for a halachic purpose, check the weekly flyer or call the shul. The shul's own published schedule is the authority, not this website.
Nothing here is a halachic ruling
The material on this site is for information about the congregation. It is not a psak halacha and is not a substitute for asking your own rav.
Using the site
You are welcome to read these pages, print them, and pass them on. Please do not attempt to interfere with the site or the server it runs on, scrape it at a volume that degrades service for others, or use anything here to harass members of this or any other community.
Content and trademarks
The name Shaarei Tefila, the congregation's emblem, and the text and design of this site belong to Congregation Shaarei Tefila. You may quote or reproduce them for personal and communal use with attribution. Commercial use, or any use suggesting we endorse something we do not, requires our written permission.
Links away from this site
We link to a WhatsApp group and to payment pages hosted by our processors. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, security or terms. Follow them at your own discretion. The member portal is not one of these: it is part of this website and these terms apply to it.
Your member account
The member portal is part of this site. Sign in with your own email address and do not share the link we send you: it grants access to your account. What you can see there is your own record. Do not attempt to reach another member's information, and tell the office promptly if you are ever shown something that is not yours.
Donations and dues
Payments are handled by third-party providers under their own terms, and card details are entered on their pages rather than on ours. Membership dues are currently taken through Intuit QuickBooks. Congregation Shaarei Tefila is a religious congregation; before claiming a tax deduction, please confirm the current status of the organization and keep the receipt the processor issues. Questions about a donation, a pledge or a refund should go to the office.

This website is provided as it stands, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of error. To the fullest extent the law allows, Congregation Shaarei Tefila and those who volunteer for it are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site or reliance on its contents.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts sitting in Los Angeles County. If a provision here is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
